Dandies Charlize:  F1 Goldendoodle

About Dandies Charlize

Dandies Charlize is an American standard F1 Goldendoodle.   We call her “Charlie,” for short.  She is super silly and loves to tease and play with all her friends.  She always has a smile on her face.

She is a full sister to our Dandies Silent Whisper.  She also has a beautiful head and amazing confirmation and temperament.  She comes from “Shangri La,” line of well known standard show poodles.

She is 20 inches at the shoulder and weighs 48 lbs.  She will be matched to our “Dandies Red Romeo,” this summer and winter to produce some outstanding F1B red miniature goldendoodles.

F1 Temperament

F1 temperament represents the most consistent characteristic across this generation. The compatible personalities of Golden Retrievers and Poodles combine to create reliably friendly, intelligent Goldendoodles.

Generally Consistent Personality

F1 Goldendoodles typically display outgoing, affectionate, and eager-to-please personalities. Both parent breeds are highly trainable working dogs with strong human bonds. The combination creates dogs that thrive on family interaction and respond enthusiastically to training.

Social behavior is remarkably consistent in F1s. Most love meeting new people, get along well with children, and display gentle, patient temperaments. The friendly nature makes F1s excellent family dogs, therapy dogs, and companions for first-time dog owners.

Hybrid Vigor in Behavior

The genetic diversity of F1s may contribute to behavioral stability. Dogs with diverse genetics sometimes show fewer anxiety issues and more balanced temperaments than those with limited gene pools. While individual variation exists, F1s as a group display reliable, stable personalities.

Energy levels fall between the high-energy Golden Retriever and the moderately energetic Poodle. Most F1 Goldendoodles need daily exercise but aren’t hyperactive. They enjoy active play, walks, and swimming but settle calmly indoors when their exercise needs are met.
